What teeth whitening involves

Professional whitening uses a controlled bleaching gel to lift stain from within the enamel — several shades lighter in one appointment. It is far stronger and far safer than over-the-counter kits, because the gums are protected and the concentration is controlled.

How the treatment goes

  1. Cleaning firstScaling is done first — whitening only works on a clean surface.
  2. Gum protectionA barrier is placed so the gel touches only enamel.
  3. Whitening cyclesThe gel is applied in timed cycles and activated.
  4. Shade checkWe record the before and after shade together.

Aftercare

After your teeth whitening

  • Avoid tea, coffee, cola, turmeric and coloured food for 48 hours.
  • No smoking or paan for at least two days — it stains immediately.
  • Short-term sensitivity to cold is normal and settles within days.
  • Results last one to three years depending on your habits.

If pain or bleeding gets worse rather than better, call +91 94879 39179 straight away — do not wait for the next appointment.

Questions

Teeth Whitening — your questions answered

Is teeth whitening safe for enamel?
Yes, when done professionally. The gel opens the enamel pores temporarily to release stain and they re-mineralise afterwards. What damages enamel is unsupervised high-concentration kits and abrasive home remedies like charcoal or baking soda.
How long do the results last?
One to three years. It depends almost entirely on habits — daily tea, coffee, smoking or paan will bring staining back much faster.
Will whitening work on my crowns or fillings?
No. Whitening only lightens natural tooth. Crowns, veneers and fillings stay the shade they were made, which is why we whiten first and match any new front-tooth work to the whitened shade afterwards.
Why are my teeth sensitive after whitening?
Temporary sensitivity to cold is the most common side effect and normally settles within two to three days. A desensitising toothpaste for a week handles it.
